His­tory fair well at­tended

The more-than-230 peo­ple who at­tended the first Springville Fam­ily His­tory Fair on Oct. 15 at the Hob­ble Creek Stake Cen­ter had a de­light­ful time and learned new con­cepts in ge­nealog­i­cal re­search and doc­u­men­ta­tion. They also were in­spired by the re­marks of key­note speaker Pres­i­dent Cliff Park of the Springville Dry Creek Stake.

The fair, with the theme “Jour­ney Through Time,” was spon­sored by the eight Springville stakes and the Springville Fam­ily His­tory Cen­ter. Many at­ten­dees learned about the new zon­ing pro­gram to help in­dex names in news­pa­pers. Oth­ers learned how to in­volve their fam­i­lies and help them get to know their an­ces­tors.
