Oxbor­row wins free 2017 Root­sTech tu­ition

Con­grat­u­la­tions to Tony Oxbor­row who was the lucky win­ner of the Root­sTech tu­ition con­test on Nov. 15. He will be able to at­tend all days of the Root­sTech con­fer­ence sched­uled Fe­bru­ary 8 through 11, 2017. He can also choose from more than 200 classes cov­er­ing a wide spec­trum of knowl­edge and ex­per­tise given by ex­perts in their fields.

The Expo Hall at Root­sTech will have hun­dreds of ven­dors and in­ven­tions re­lat­ing to fam­ily his­tory that Oxbor­row can ex­plore in his off time. There are many events that he can choose from to en­joy, two of which are on Fri­day; the in­no­va­tor show­down where in­ven­tors are judged and awarded prizes for their fam­ily his­tory prod­ucts, and the Cul­tural Cel­e­bra­tion, “Cel­e­brate Your Her­itage.”

Spe­cial key­note speak­ers will in­clude Buddy Valas­tro (Cake Boss), LaVar Bur­ton and Jon­athan and Drew Scott. Satur­day, Feb. 11, 2017, is the free LDS Fam­ily Dis­cov­ery Day that fea­tures Pres­i­dent Rus­sell M. Nel­son and his wife, Sis­ter Wendy Wat­son Nel­son, who will ad­dress the at­ten­dees along with Hank Smith, Vai Sika­hema and Kalani Si­take.
