Springville City had sev­eral long­time em­ploy­ees re­tire in 2016. The city is grate­ful for their many years of ser­vice and mak­ing the com­mu­nity a bet­ter place to live. Those who re­tired in­clude:

Lis Dun­can, Fa­cil­i­ties, 35.5 years.. Matt Han­cock, Power Su­per­in­ten­dent, 30 years. Steve Braun, Hob­ble Creek Golf Course, 30 years. Kelly Giles, Hob­ble Creek Golf Course, 29 years. Alex Roy­lance, Build­ings and Grounds Di­rec­tor, 29 years. Ca­role Ann Bartholomew, Po­lice Dis­patch Su­per­vi­sor, 29 years. Pam Vaughn, Li­brary Di­rec­tor, 11 years.

From a new li­brary con­structed with more than 1,100 pa­trons vis­it­ing per day to the ad­di­tion of sev­eral new parks in­clud­ing Bartholomew Pond and a splash pad and now the con­struc­tion of the new aquatic cen­ter, these re­tir­ing em­ploy­ees have spent many hours of their days try­ing to make Springville a bet­ter place.
