Learn to weave plas­tic mats for the home­less, dec­o­rate char­ac­ter wigs, as­sem­ble card mak­ing kits and much more at the Maple­ton Com­mu­nity Hu­man­i­tar­ian Fair in Memo­rial Hall, in con­junc­tion with the Maple­ton Pi­o­neer Day Cel­e­bra­tion on July 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. There are projects for the en­tire fam­ily, in­clud­ing kids!

Maple­ton Hands to Hearts have in­vited groups to spon­sor projects with op­por­tu­ni­ties for the en­tire fam­ily, in­clud­ing kids! Come weave plas­tic bags on giant looms into mats for refugees and the home­less, dec­o­rate char­ac­ter wigs for pe­di­atric pa­tients, use your skills to cut, sew and tie quilts for the home­less and tie fleece blan­kets sent to refugee camps, cut fab­ric and pan­els for Days for Girls, as­sem­ble card mak­ing kits for teen girls and make jin­gle boxes for in­fants in bat­tered women’s shel­ters through­out Utah! There will be Make and Take projects for kids too!

Memo­rial Hall is lo­cated at West Maple St. and North Main St. in Maple­ton.
