Siloam Springs Writers to Meet

The Siloam Springs Writers Guild will be “Reading their Writings” at their meeting at 6 p.m. April 10 at First Baptist Church, 2000 Dawn Hill Road. Please use the west entrance. Writers are to bring stories or poems they have written to share. April assignment­s are: Prose — Adult Short Story and Poetry — Easter Treasures. Refreshmen­ts will be served.

Roast-and-toast for Cheek

A retirement roast-andtoast dinner celebratio­n for longtime Siloam Springs High School volleyball coach Rose Cheek will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 29, in the high school cafeteria, located at 700 W. Progress Ave. RSVP the $8 tickets by texting the number of tickets and name to 479-790-6693 or by emailing joellen.wright@siloamscho­ols.com. A volleyball alumni game will take place before the dinner at 5 p.m. in the Panther Activity Center at the high school. RSVP to the same number and email above to reserve a spot to play in the game.

High School Theater Production

The high school theater department will be presenting a western themed comedy, Buckshot & Blossoms, at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 8, and at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 9. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for children and free for ages 5 and under.

Garden Workday

The Garden in Siloam Springs will hold a workday at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 8. The garden is located behind Grace Episcopal Church. More informatio­n is available on The Garden in Siloam Springs’ Facebook page.

Girls Night Out

Downtown businesses will be open late from 5 to 8 p.m. for shopping and socializin­g for Girls Night Out on March 30. The event, hosted by Main Street Siloam Springs, will include a social hour, prizes and more. Fiber Artist Workshop

Gene Shepherd of Anaheim, Calif., will be teaching a beginner’s rughooking workshop on April 17 and 18 at Community Christian Fellowship in Siloam Springs. Art Ability

Ability Tree will host an interactiv­e art program for children with or without special needs. The art program will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on April 4. An art show will be held on April 19.
