Chamber to give Torres Civic Leadership Award
Randy Torres will be the 2017 recipient of the Outstanding Civic Leadership award, the Chamber of Commerce announced Friday.
The award will be presented at the annual Outstanding Civic Leadership Event, hosted by the Chamber, on Sept. 21 at the Cypress Barn on East Kenwood Street.
The Outstanding Civic Leadership award recognizes a local citizen who has gone above and beyond expectations to promote the community of Siloam Springs. Past recipients have started successful businesses, done extensive volunteer work, worked behind the scenes without recognition, served on local, regional, or state boards or commissions, been involved in Chamber of Commerce committee or board service, and are generally supporters of all things Siloam Springs.
Torres is an employee of DaySpring Cards, in Human Relations, and is a former Chairman of the Board of the Chamber of Commerce. His many accomplishments and community connections will be “roasted and toasted” during the casual event, which begins at 6 p.m. with a catered meal from Rib Crib.
The presenting sponsor for the event is DaySpring Cards; gold sponsors are Cherokee Casino and Hotel, Cobb-Vantress, Grand Savings Bank, the HeraldLeader, Rib Crib, and Simmons Foods.
Cost for the event is $35 per person. For more information or to make reservations contact the Chamber at 524-6466 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
