We want our bridge repaired

Siloam Springs Herald Leader - - OPINION - Charlotte Robinson

I write in regard to the Flint Creek Bridge down by Ozark Academy between Gentry and Dawn Hill — or the old Dawn Hill.

When we had our last flood, the bridge was deemed unsafe to cross, and so every one who lives down on the south side of the bridge, and needs access to Gentry (or the North side and need to get to the academy, etc.) via this bridge, has to go further south, and then to Arkotex Road, where they can get on Highway 59, and go to Gentry.

I guess the powers that be in the county don’t deem this as a necessity to get repaired, but since April we have been having to find

other routes.

Many people drive from Siloam Springs to work at the local cabinet factory, and new routes have had to be found for this work.

There are large trucks that deliver food to Ozark Academy, and they have to drive out of their way to deliver food.

It has been a long summer, and we want our bridge repaired. If you do a Google search for which county is the richest county in Arkansas, Benton comes up. So, they have monies to get on the ball and repair this. Let’s put pressure on them to get busy with this.
