Ross is the founder of True Love Waits and is professor of student ministry at Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. Holy Eucharist service
A Celtic Evensong with Holy Eucharist service will be offered at Grace Episcopal Church at 5:30 p.m. Sunday evenings, beginning Sept. 10. This Celtic worship service celebrates liturgical traditions drawn from Iona and Northumbria, celebrating simplicity, meditation, music, and community. This service welcomes worshipers from other faith traditions, as well as those with little to no religious background. All are welcome.
Women’s Bible Study
Community Christian Fellowship’s Women of Purpose Bible study will be held Wednesday evenings, beginning on Sept. 6 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in room No. 104 at CCF. Enter through the south doors of the building. The study will focus on II Corinthians and discover how relevant Paul’s experience ministering is to today and how people can find comfort, strength, joy, rest, confidence, victory and more as they apply God’s word to their lives. Hope’s Kitchen at Saint Mary
Hope’s Kitchen at Saint Mary Catholic Church provides free meals from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Friday of each month. Veterans, the homeless, needy, elderly, unemployed, lonely and any families with children are invited to the free home-cooked meal. Singing and food will be available the last Saturday night of every month at Canaan Land Ministries located at 6471 U.S. Highway 412 West.
