Par­ent­ing con­fer­ence

First Bap­tist Church of Siloam Springs will host a Par­ent­ing Con­fer­ence with Richard Ross on Sept. 10. Ross is the founder of True Love Waits and is pro­fes­sor of stu­dent min­istry at South­west­ern Sem­i­nary in Fort Worth, Texas. The event will be­gin at 9:30 a.m. with a par­ent­ing ses­sion in the fel­low­ship hall, fol­lowed by the morn­ing wor­ship ser­vice at 10:45 a.m. with Dr. Ross preach­ing. Holy Eucharist ser­vice

A Celtic Even­song with Holy Eucharist ser­vice will be of­fered at Grace Epis­co­pal Church at 5:30 p.m. Sun­day evenings, be­gin­ning Sept. 10. This Celtic wor­ship ser­vice cel­e­brates litur­gi­cal tra­di­tions drawn from Iona and Northum­bria, cel­e­brat­ing sim­plic­ity, med­i­ta­tion, mu­sic, and com­mu­nity. This ser­vice wel­comes wor­shipers from other faith tra­di­tions, as well as those with lit­tle to no re­li­gious back­ground. All are wel­come.

Women’s Bi­ble Study

Com­mu­nity Chris­tian Fel­low­ship’s Women of Pur­pose Bi­ble study will be held Wed­nes­day evenings, be­gin­ning on Sept. 6 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in room No. 104 at CCF. En­ter through the south doors of the build­ing. The study will fo­cus on II Corinthi­ans and dis­cover how rel­e­vant Paul’s ex­pe­ri­ence min­is­ter­ing is to to­day and how peo­ple can find com­fort, strength, joy, rest, con­fi­dence, vic­tory and more as they ap­ply God’s word to their lives. Bring your Bi­ble and a notebook.

East­gate Awana

East­gate Bap­tist Church, lo­cated at 4950 U.S. High­way 412 East, will be­gin Awana on Wed­nes­day, Sept. 6. Each night will be­gin at 6 p.m. with a light meal, and Awana Club will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Dur­ing that time, kids — ag es 4 years through sixth grade — will play games, have a les­son, and learn the word of God. Ladies Bi­ble Study

First Bap­tist Church is hold­ing a women’s Bi­ble study ti­tled Acts: The Growth of the Early Church. Two classes will be of­fered each Wed­nes­day, from 9 to 11 a.m. or 6 to 8 p.m., be­gin­ning Sept. 6. The class is taught by Laura Mac­far­lan. JOY Choir

It’s time for some JOY! On Thurs­day, Sept. 7 the JOY Choir at First Bap­tist Church Siloam Springs will be start­ing up once again. Se­nior adults from through­out the com­mu­nity are in­vited to join and par­tic­i­pate. Re­hearsals will be from 10 to 11 a.m. each Thurs­day at First Bap­tist Church. Beth Moore Simul­cast

First United Methodist Church of Grove Okla., lo­cated at 1005 Leisure Road in Grove, will host a Beth Moore Simul­cast from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Satur­day, Sept. 16. Moore will be pre­sent­ing “Cap­ti­vated: The Won­der of Christ on the Wind­ing Road” along with wor­ship mu­sic with Travis Cot­trell. Tick­ets are $20, which in­cludes lunch, snack, child­care and door prizes. Tick­ets can be pur­chased on­line at groveumc.org or at the FUMC of­fice, Trench Broth­ers Graph­ics lo­cated at 407 South Main Street or Sissy’s Place at 2092 South Main Street. Com­mu­nity Women’s Bi­ble Study

Com­mu­nity Women’s Bi­ble Study, an in­ter­de­nom­i­na­tional gath­er­ing, will meet from 9 to 11 a.m. Wed­nes­days be­gin­ning Sept. 20 at Sager Creek Com­mu­nity Church, lo­cated at 1600 Cheri Whit­lock Dr. in Siloam Springs. The group will be study­ing “All Things New” by Kelly Min­ter, based on II Corinthi­ans. Study guides will be avail­able to pur­chase at the first meet­ing. Kid­sTime chil­dren’s program will be avail­able for a small charge

Hope’s Kitchen at Saint Mary

Hope’s Kitchen at Saint Mary Catholic Church pro­vides free meals from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the first and third Fri­day of each month. Vet­er­ans, the home­less, needy, el­derly, un­em­ployed, lonely and any fam­i­lies with chil­dren are in­vited to the free home-cooked meal. Singing and Food

Singing and food will be avail­able the last Satur­day night of ev­ery month at Canaan Land Min­istries lo­cated at 6471 U.S. High­way 412 West. Food will be served at 5 p.m. fol­lowed by singing at 6 p.m. There will also be door prizes and auc­tion items. Ev­ery­one is in­vited and those who sing or play mu­sic are in­vited to come join in.
