Siloam Springs Writ­ers Guild to meet

The Siloam Springs Writ­ers Guild will meet at 6 p.m. on Mon­day, Nov. 13, at First Baptist Church, 200 W. Dawn Hill Road. Please use the West en­trance.

The writ­ers will be “Read­ing their Writ­ings,” with cri­tiquing avail­able. As­sign­ments for Novem­ber to be emailed to ss­wg­ Nov. 1-10 are as fol­lows: Prose — “A Tale of Thanks­giv­ing,” and Poetry — “Time of Bounty,” any style. Road work on Ken­wood

The city of Siloam Springs will be clos­ing Ken­wood be­tween Holly and Carl streets to move util­ity lines and widen the street. Clo­sure will be in­ter­mit­tent be­tween now and Dec. 31. For more in­for­ma­tion, con­tact the street de­part­ment at the city at 524-5136.

Tail­wag­gers seeks vol­un­teers, do­na­tions

Tail­wag­gers is seek­ing vol­un­teers to walk dogs and so­cial­ize cats at the city an­i­mal shel­ter. They are also in need of do­na­tions of chewies, rawhides, cat toys and dog har­nesses for the an­i­mal shel­ter. Call 2383612 for more in­for­ma­tion.
