Fresh­men win ben­e­fit bas­ket­ball games at Huntsville

HUNTSVILLE — The Siloam Springs ninth-grade bas­ket­ball teams par­tic­i­pated in Arkansas Ac­tiv­i­ties As­so­ci­a­tion ben­e­fit games on Thurs­day against Huntsville at Charles Berry Gym­na­sium.

The Lady Pan­thers de­feated the Lady Ea­gles 47-23.

Ja­dyn Still led the Lady Pan­thers with 14 points, while Ju­lia Jack­son scored 12, Syd­ney Moor­man nine, Mia Hevener seven, Madi Race and Jor­dan Rush each with two and Quincy Efurd one. The Pan­thers de­feated the Ea­gles 32-30 with a late rally. Jack­son Ford’s touch pass to a back cut­ting Breck Soderquist for the game-win­ner gave the Pan­thers the win­ning points. Max Perkins hit a 3-pointer just be­fore that to tie the game.

Perkins led the Pan­thers with 11 points, while Ford had five, Nathan Lee and Soderquist four each. Solomon Huf­ford, Alex Crafton, Eli­jah Cof­fey and Cam­den Collins each scored two points.

Both teams open their sea­son this week in the an­nual Allen Clas­sic.
