JBU white coat ceremony
Nursing student Kaylynn Gray received her white coat symbolizing the nursing profession from professor Deana Reinhardt. Twenty-four students from John Brown University’s Class of 2020 received their white coats during a ceremony on Friday in the Cathedral of the Ozarks. The ceremony recognized juniors who have completed their prerequisites and been accepted into the upper level nursing program. As part of the ceremony, the nursing students also recited JBU’s Nursing Pledge to accept the duties and responsibilities of the nursing profession. Mark Bever, executive vice president and administrator of Washington Regional Medical Center and a JBU alumnus, gave the keynote address.
