JBU white coat cer­e­mony

Nurs­ing stu­dent Kay­lynn Gray re­ceived her white coat sym­bol­iz­ing the nurs­ing pro­fes­sion from pro­fes­sor Deana Rein­hardt. Twenty-four stu­dents from John Brown Univer­sity’s Class of 2020 re­ceived their white coats dur­ing a cer­e­mony on Fri­day in the Cathe­dral of the Ozarks. The cer­e­mony rec­og­nized ju­niors who have com­pleted their pre­req­ui­sites and been ac­cepted into the up­per level nurs­ing pro­gram. As part of the cer­e­mony, the nurs­ing stu­dents also re­cited JBU’s Nurs­ing Pledge to ac­cept the du­ties and re­spon­si­bil­i­ties of the nurs­ing pro­fes­sion. Mark Bever, ex­ec­u­tive vice pres­i­dent and ad­min­is­tra­tor of Wash­ing­ton Re­gional Med­i­cal Cen­ter and a JBU alum­nus, gave the key­note ad­dress.
