Kickball honors India Lewis
The India Lewis Contribution Fund will host a kickball game to honor Lewis and raise awareness for cancer and youth sports at 11 a.m. Sept. 22, at James Butts Baseball Park in Siloam Springs.
Lewis, one of the more decorated athletes to play in Siloam Springs and a former Arkansas Razorback women’s basketball player, died Aug. 7 after a short battle with breast cancer.
Because of Lewis’ passion for people and youth sports, the kickball game is being hosted by her former University of Arkansas teammates.
To participate in the kickball game or events, please register online at indiastrong21.com or email Amy Wright at alwright3@ hotmail.com. Donations for participation will be accepted online, via mail, or at the event (donations are not tax-deductible). All donations will go to the India Lewis Contribution Fund, which is designated to assist the Lewis family as well as laying the groundwork for the India Lewis Foundation to support youth sports.
Participants will receive a T-shirt, goodie bag, food, and drink at the event.
