Kick­ball hon­ors In­dia Lewis

The In­dia Lewis Con­tri­bu­tion Fund will host a kick­ball game to honor Lewis and raise aware­ness for cancer and youth sports at 11 a.m. Sept. 22, at James Butts Base­ball Park in Siloam Springs.

Lewis, one of the more dec­o­rated ath­letes to play in Siloam Springs and a for­mer Arkansas Ra­zor­back women’s bas­ket­ball player, died Aug. 7 af­ter a short bat­tle with breast cancer.

Be­cause of Lewis’ pas­sion for peo­ple and youth sports, the kick­ball game is be­ing hosted by her for­mer Univer­sity of Arkansas team­mates.

Do­na­tions for par­tic­i­pa­tion will be ac­cepted on­line, via mail, or at the event (do­na­tions are not tax-de­ductible). All do­na­tions will go to the In­dia Lewis Con­tri­bu­tion Fund, which is des­ig­nated to as­sist the Lewis fam­ily as well as lay­ing the ground­work for the In­dia Lewis Foun­da­tion to sup­port youth sports.

Par­tic­i­pants will re­ceive a T-shirt, goodie bag, food, and drink at the event.
