Simple Grace - - Mood Index -

Dear child, I love your enthusiasm to try new things to improve yourself and your home. But eagerness without steady direction can end up yielding nothing but a great deal of unfinished business.

Imagine yourself as child, wishing to fly a kite. Yes, you can get try to run this way or try to run that way, but without a gust of wind, your kite won’t climb to the sky.

Your spirit is not so different: You can lead it this way and that, but what it really needs is a strong lift from the Holy Spirit to strengthen it in the direction of your Father’s will. It’s only then that your spirit will rise strongly and accomplish something of merit.

When you find yourself leaving things half-finished, it’s a sign that you’ve become a bit spiritually sleepy… you need to wake up to your need of direction and guidance from your Father and receive it via the Spirit.

Do you have five minutes now? If so, please find a comfortable and private place to sit and try to let go of your thoughts—just let each worry drift by like a kite flying into and then out of view. Kindle the love and joyous feelings you have toward Me and feel them soaring up to reach My heart. Feel My response as the Spirit lifts your spirit.

Do you feel a beautiful rush? That’s the Spirit laden with My love and your Father’s will. Wake up to what the Spirit brings and you’ll find that you only start what it’s your Father’s will for you to finish. —Jesus to the disciples,

Luke 12:37
