Saying “yes!” to divine GPS

Simple Grace - - From The Editor - Carol Brooks

A God Positioning System is always offering directions. Are you taking them?

Driving into work this morning, I launched a crowd-sourced app called “Waze”

to help me dodge the Monday morning traffic jams. I entered my destination and followed the directions (plotted by the app calculating what others report that they see in real time on the road) turn by turn.

At one point in my journey, I questioned the app: The directions didn’t seem to my thinking mind to taking me on the best route. Although I wanted to trust my own perspective, I knew it would be wiser to go with what many eyes were seeing.

Of course, our Father has eyes everywhere and through the Holy Spirit is always offering us guidance. But the choice is ours whether we turn His “app” on mute or allow ourselves to hear and obey. This month, please join me in listening.
