Simple Grace - - From The Editor -

Dear child, thank you for having such a beautiful heart for others and for Me. You need not fear that you’re letting others down when, instead of petitioning, you spend time simply being with Me.

Imagine that your soul is like a spring of water. When it’s continually replenished by an active connection with Me in prayer, it flows fresh, pure and clean. When that connection lapses, this same water can get stagnant and algae can start to grow.

From that place of dankness, it’s hard for you to offer the fresh, cool healing that you wish to gift to others through prayer. Your very presence will be dimmer and you’ll end up bringing less of Me to others.

That’s why My first commandment to you is to surrender to your Father in love. Give Him all that you have and all that you are so you may be completely refreshed and remade. It’s such a beautiful gift He has given you!

Do you have five minutes right now? If so, feel the love and joy and gratitude that you feel for Me and imagine sending it from your heart to Mine. You’ll feel your spirit lift as the Holy Spirit ushers in My love for you. Simply rest in this beautiful lifted state while the Spirit does His work of renewal. From this place of fresh energy, you’ll find you can offer up as many petitions as you want without feeling drained or depleted. —Jesus to a Pharisee,

Matthew 22:37–38, NKJV

“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment.”
