Simple Grace - - Mood Index -

Dear child, I understand how difficult this transition can be. Up to this point, you’ve been deriving your sense of purpose, of happiness, from the things of your world. And now those things are diminishing. I know how much that hurts. I had to make a similar kind of transition during

My incarnation.

But, truly, the fading of worldly pleasures is a blessing.

It’s so much harder to tune your spirit to your Father’s song while you’re in the midst of worldly static. As life becomes quieter—and yes, even a bit sadder—you can more easily hear your Father’s song of joy. Your eyes begin to open more completely to the beauty of His creation. Your ears begin to open to the sound of rustling leaves, singing birds. And most important, your heart begins to open to your Father’s true nature…pure love.

Let Me take your hand and fill the hole that the loss of worldly pleasures has left in your heart. Imagine your love for Me as a petal that you offer up to the wind. See the Holy Spirit sweep it up and away and to My heart. Tune in to your own heart and feel it fill as the Spirit brings you My love. Feel your spirit flutter and lift. What a beautiful communion! Rest in Me, allowing your heart to swell to overflowing as your spirit dances. As beautiful as this is, it’s only a small glimpse of what’s to come. —Jesus to the disciples,

John 16:22

“So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.”
