Dear child, it’s easy to get caught up in small competitions, but as you already rightly sense, they can lead your heart astray. Imagine two children who play a game of makebelieve in a makeshift playhouse. They confine their play to inside this tepee, but what happens in their hearts leads them to differing places in their

Father’s kingdom.

Imagine if one cultivates pure, giving love: It’s as though she is in the tepee, but at the same time in a gloriously beautiful garden. Imagine if the other cultivates hate in her heart: It’s as though she is in the tepee and at the same time in a hideous, moldy cave.

From a worldly point of view, you can say their play really doesn’t matter—it’s confined to the area of the tepee. But from your Father’s vantage point, their play—as it affects the nature of the hearts—is critically important as it determines where their hearts reside in His kingdom.

To keep your limited perspective from being your only perspective, turn to Me. When you marry with Me in spirit, you allow your sense of what is to expand into a loving spaciousness. You cannot see your Father’s kingdom, but you can certainly feel its vastness. Send Me your love and affection right now and feel the Holy Spirit lift and open your spirit to the lovely truth of your life. —Jesus to the Pharisees,

Luke 17: 20–21

“The kingdom of God is not coming in ways that can be observed…for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”
