Simple Grace - - Mood Index -

Dear child, no apologies are necessary here. You do a beautiful thing when you take time out of your day to send your heart out to Me in prayer. The reason for your sleepiness often lies with the Holy Spirit Himself. As He marries with your spirit and does

His work of teaching and remaking, sleepiness is sometimes a side effect. Falling asleep in prayer is more likely a sign of true surrender than of disrespect.

Think back to when you were a child: Do you remember your hardest class? As your mind tried to absorb the concepts in this class, you likely felt groggy and as though you wished to sleep. Indeed, it often helped to study before bed so your mind could do the reprocessing necessary during sleep. So too with what the Spirit brings you: It’s often hard teaching that requires rest and time to fully absorb. Please don’t let this feeling discourage you from persevering.

Let’s spend a little time together now. Find a comfortable position and relax and close your eyes. Send Me the love and joy and gratitude that you feel in a big bouquet of feeling. Feel your spirit lift as the Holy Spirit brings you My love. Rest in this feeling. If your mind goes blank and groggy, this is no problem…simply continue to rest in Me and let the Spirit do His work. After a few minutes, gently open your eyes and know that you are beautifully new.

“The Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.”
