Simple Grace - - Mood Index -

Dear child, I know how painful it is to be betrayed by one you cared for. I also know how hard it can be to be falsely accused. It takes courage and wisdom to keep quiet in such a circumstance, but truly, the only defense you have against lies is to remain walking in the light of truth.

There is nothing hidden from your Father: He knows every hair on your head, every thought in your heart. He knows when you are innocent, and He knows when you are guilty. When you are misunderstood by your neighbor, you can call on the Holy Spirit to bring you the consolation of your Father’s understanding. It can be a beautiful thing to feel known.

Do you have a few minutes to spend in your Father’s truth right now? If so, sit up with your eyes closed and let all mental worries and physical tension go. Gather up the love you feel for Me and imagine sending it on the wind right to My heart. As you feel the Spirit lifting your spirit, send out a request to your Father. You might ask, Heavenly Father, please give me a true sense of who I am. Then simply relax and receive a sense of your true, glorious essence. Spend a few minutes just soaking in a sense of your own beauty as seen through the eyes of your Father. Release the accusations of others, as well as your own self-accusations. Whenever you’re feeling unsure or misunderstood, please return to this lovely truth of who you really are.

“Why, even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not.” —Jesus to the crowd,
