Simple Grace - - Mood Index -

Dear child, when you feel the fog that comes from too much thinking—too much time in the mind—it’s a signal that you need to tune in more fully to your spirit and receive a higher guidance.

“And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever—the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.”

—Jesus to the disciples, John 14:16–17 NKJV

Fortunately, as My follower, you have a sure way to arrive at your best decision: Raise your awareness of the Holy Spirit to fully imbibe the truth of any situation. While the Spirit is always with you, you must settle down the racing thoughts and release the physical tension that keeps you from drinking in all He has to offer.

One way to do this is to take a meditative walk. The rhythm of slow walking can release the mental and physical constriction that keeps you from discerning the Spirit’s truth. In this form of walking, you want to keep your eyes inward rather than examining your surroundings, and so you might want to find a place that you can literally walk in circles—around your backyard, around a track, around the block. Use the rhythm of your steps to help clear the fog and the stress so you can drink in the peace, joy, love and truth that My helper brings. Try this whenever you need to unknot the tangle of your thoughts.
