Simple Grace - - Mood Index -

“Dear Lord, after months of trying unsuccessfully to find employment in my field of Web design, I’m now working as a restaurant hostess—and I’m so humiliated that I want to quit. It’s honest work, but whenever I have to seat people I know and let them see what a step down I’ve taken, I cringe inside. I feel as though they’re laughing at me. How do I move past this sense of mortification?”

—Solomon to the men of Israel, Proverbs 11:2
