Like all of Steamboat, the snow here is different, too. And if you’re asking, it’s better. And there’s an actual meteorological reason why. By the time winter storms roll over us, they’ve been across the Mojave Desert and lost all that extra moisture. So when it falls on us, it’s drier, lighter and fluffier. It’s so different than anywhere else in the world, that it’s not called snow. Here it’s called Champagne Powder, snow.
