Raising taxes discourages growth of the community

It appears that Souderton is learning a fundamental truth of taxation: Raising tax rates does not result in proportional increases in tax UHYHnuH (/DIIHU &uUYH).
Perhaps the council should consider that raising these various taxes also discourages the growth of our comPunLWy (RuU WDx EDVH) DnG look “even harder” for ways to both reduce expenses not linked to fundamental activities and only then more directly raise revenues for other activities at the point of consumption. The private sector is rightly forced to do the same.
