Pom­pano Beach Green Mar­ket re­opens

POM­PANO BEACH, Fla. – The 15th An­nual Pom­pano Beach Green Mar­ket, pre­sented by the Pom­pano Beach His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety, in part­ner­ship with the Pom­pano Beach Com­mu­nity Re­de­vel­op­ment Agency (CRA), will re­open on Oc­to­ber 14 at 8:30 a.m.

This year, the or­ga­niz­ers are fea­tur­ing new, ex­cit­ing op­por­tu­ni­ties for vis­i­tors to “hang out and en­joy” the Old Town Foun­tain Plaza.

“The mar­ket this sea­son will fea­ture not only yoga on the plaza, but also of­fer a va­ri­ety of pre­pared foods and brunch items, in­clud­ing Mi­mosas!,” said Tom McMa­hon, pres­i­dent of the Pom­pano Beach His­tor­i­cal So­ci­ety.

Lo­cal ven­dors from through­out the South Florida area will once again take over the Old Town Pom­pano Beach down­town area, lo­cated on the cor­ner of Dixie High­way and At­lantic Ave. (41 NE 1 St. in Pom­pano Beach).

Res­i­dents and vis­i­tors will have the op­por­tu­nity to so­cial­ize, ex­er­cise, eat, shop and sup­port lo­cal ven­dors as they of­fer fresh pro­duce, unique hand­made goods and creatively and dis­tinctly pre­pared foods.

On open­ing day, the mar­ket will fea­ture the tra­di­tional Pep­per Rib­bon Cut­ting Cer­e­mony with Mayor La­mar Fisher at 10 a.m. Yoga on the Plaza hosted by Hot Yoga Home will take place from 9-10 a.m. Brunch and Bub­bly with friends and fam­ily and healthy, unique shop­ping can be en­joyed through­out the event.

Other open­ing day ac­tiv­i­ties in­clude The Bean & Pep­per Jam­boree hosted by the Florida Farm Bureau, Project Sta­ble (cru­elty free) live pet­ting zoo, a food tast­ing con­test, Chicken Bingo, chil­dren’s ac­tiv­i­ties, arts & crafts, and live premier har­mon­ica en­ter­tain­ment from the Rockin’ Jake Band.
