Schol­ar­ship for Florida le­gal stu­dents

South Florida Times - - METRO - Florida law stu­dents can apply for $1,000 schol­ar­ship.

Florida – Bran­don Le­gal Group, a law firm in the Tampa area, is of­fer­ing a $1,000 schol­ar­ship for a stu­dent cur­rently at­tend­ing an ABA ac­cred­ited law school or an ABA ap­proved para­le­gal stud­ies pro­gram in the state of Florida. Ap­pli­cants are asked to sub­mit an es­say of 500 to 800 words that re­sponds to a pro­vided es­say topic that fo­cuses on dif­fer­ent ar­eas of law.

Sub­mis­sions will be judged on con­tent, cre­ativ­ity, ac­cu­racy and gram­mar. Po­ten­tial ap­pli­cants can sub­mit their es­say on­line from now un­til mid­night on Novem­ber 30.

Bran­don Le­gal Group knows that le­gal is­sues can af­fect many peo­ple’s lives. This cre­ative writ­ing schol­ar­ship is meant to help with the cost of school­ing for a stu­dent with as­pi­ra­tions of be­com­ing an at­tor­ney or para­le­gal. Bran­don Le­gal Group also wants to en­cour­age the con­tin­ued study of the law.
