Reg­is­tra­tion open for WPB Jr. NBA Youth Bas­ket­ball League

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Bas­ket­ball is more than a game. It’s fun, en­ter­tain­ing and ex­cit­ing, but it also teaches sports­man­ship, re­spect and team­work.

Reg­is­tra­tion is cur­rently open for the City of West Palm Beach Jr. NBA Youth Bas­ket­ball League. Chil­dren ages 5-14, res­i­dents and non-res­i­dents can par­tic­i­pate.

The League Di­vi­sions in­clude: 5-6 yearolds; 7-8 year-olds; 9-11 year olds; and 12-14 year-olds.

The cost is $50 for res­i­dents and $65 for non-res­i­dents. All par­tic­i­pants must also pay a $25 an­nual reg­is­tra­tion fee. There is fee as­sis­tance avail­able for those who qual­ify.

The league meets at South Olive Com­mu­nity Cen­ter, Gaines Park and Cole­man Park.

The reg­is­tra­tion dead­line is Fri­day, Oc­to­ber 20 and prac­tices be­gin the week of Oc­to­ber 30. The league of­fi­cially be­gins play the week of Novem­ber 13.

There will be a seven-week league play sea­son with sin­gle elim­i­na­tion playoffs.

Reg­is­tra­tion can be com­pleted at any of the com­mu­nity cen­ters or on­line at­side­­bath­let­ics.
