Spin to Win Rodeo - - At The Barrier - Team ropers making the world a better place.

Sam’s Posse founders Deborah and Buck Burt began the 501(c)3 organization with the mission to enrich the lives of children living with intellectual and physical disabilities by supporting other non-profit organizations with the same goal. Through their fundraising efforts, including a sold-out barn dance they hosted this September at San Diego, California’s Bernardo Winery, they’ve raised more than $100,000 toward that goal. The Burts, who are active ropers and fans of the rodeo, formed Sam’s Posse in memory of their son, Sam, who died in 2013 from dilated cardiomyopathy. In his short 19 years on this earth, Sam, who was both physically and intellectually challenged, embraced life and took every opportunity to educate the public on the importance of acceptance and inclusion for people living with disabilities. Through Sam’s Posse, Sam’s family continues to fiercely advocate for and support organizations like the Miracle League, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Morgan’s Wonderland. samsposse.org
