Ryan Motes Roper by Bar H
Why? It’s a saddle that Bar H and I developed together. I like to ride a roughout seat. We build a custom tree that fits a wide range of horses— kind of an in-between, real narrow high withers and also fits some rounder-backed horses. It’s a comfortable riding saddle and I’ve had luck with it on a wide range of horses.

Why? Larry does such a good job on fitting my horse and fitting the rider. We ride all day and these saddles are comfortable to ride. The main reason is because they fit everything we put them on.

Horse: Remix, 9; Abbey, 21; Yellow, 15
Why? I’ve had a sponsor deal with Martin Saddlery ever since they joined with Equibrand and Classic Equine. We worked together on a tree with a front end and saddle horn better suited for heelers. I like it because of the way that I can sit down in my saddle and stay balanced and ride through the corner. Then I really like the front end of my saddle and the saddle horn because I feel like it gives me a really good opportunity to get a good dally and finish a run.

HW Leather Co.
Why? My friend makes these saddles. He made me this saddle, and it fits pretty good on my horse. I’ve been using the same one forever on Green Card.
