NEW BOATS & GEAR
YELLOWFIN’S NEWEST MODEL for light-tackle fishing, the 21 Bay, incorporates the company’s high-performance 21 Hybrid hull design for managing chop, yet it still floats in 13 inches of water. The 21 Bay also borrows some attributes from the larger 24 CE.
“Think of the 21 Bay as just a smaller version of the 24 CE,” says Wylie Nagler, Yellowfin president. That vessel features a broad bow casting platform with a forward step that the 21 mimics.
However, the 21 Bay also stands on its own, with a new helm design that allows the captain and crew to sit or stand while underway. Custom seating fits owner demands for comfort and tackle storage.
Aft, a large casting deck features a 35-gallon baitwell flanked by two hatches port and starboard that can be plumbed for release wells.
The 21 Bay carries 50 gallons of fuel and can handle up to 350 hp.
