False ID … Martin Palmer, 20, of the 800 block of Bridge Street, Philadel­phia, is be­ing sent a sum­mons charg­ing him with false iden­ti­fi­ca­tion to law en­force­ment fol­low­ing a pedes­trian stop Oct. 6, ac­cord­ing to Spring­field po­lice.

An of­fi­cer re­spond­ing to a call from the 8500 block of Ard­more Av­enue re­gard­ing an ag­gres­sive solic­i­tor try­ing to sell sub­scrip­tions to the Philadel­phia In­quirer and Daily News lo­cated Palmer, who iden­ti­fied him­self with one name with dif­fer­ent dates of birth and had dif­fer­ent ID’s on him, po­lice said. It was un­known if he was ac­tu­ally sell­ing sub­scrip­tions to the news­pa­pers, po­lice said.

Bike stolen … A pink Hello Kitty child’s bike was re­ported stolen from the drive­way of a home in the 8200 block of Hull Drive, Wyn­d­moor, at 12:29 p.m. Oct. 13, Spring­field po­lice re­ported.

Crim­i­nal mis­chief … A ve­hi­cle parked on the 100 block of Camp Hill Road had its wind­shield dam­aged be­tween 3 and 6 p.m. Oct. 15, ac­cord­ing to Spring­field po­lice.

Theft … A 4-to 5-foot sec­tion of cop­per tub­ing was re­ported stolen at 10:18 p.m. Oct. 17 from the ceil­ing of a base­ment at a va­cant apart­ment in the 100 block of Lor­raine Av­enue, Ore­land, Spring­field po­lice re­ported.

The theft was dis­cov­ered at 7 a.m. by a gen­eral con­trac­tor, po­lice said. There were no signs of forced en­try, po­lice said.

Bikes stolen … Three bikes were stolen overnight Oct. 17 from out­side a home in the 900 block of Wil­low Grove Av­enue, Wyn­d­moor, ac­cord­ing to Spring­field po­lice.

One was later found in the 8100 block of Glad­stone Road, po­lice said. The two still miss­ing are a 22-inch Raleigh gray and blue hy­brid style bike, val­ued at $400, and a black and blue Sch­winn child’s bike with train­ing wheels, val­ued at $120, po­lice said.

Theft … A man re­ported at 4:05 p.m. Oct. 19 that $400 cash was miss­ing from his ve­hi­cle after he had it de­tailed at Clean Ma­chine Car Wash, 471 W. Penn­syl­va­nia Ave., Fort Wash­ing­ton, po­lice said. The vic­tim left the car wash and later re­al­ized the money was miss­ing, po­lice said. It was not found at the car wash and the in­ves­ti­ga­tion was turned over to de­tec­tives, po­lice said.

Theft … A bot­tle of pre­scrip­tion medicine and $50 cash were taken from an un­locked ve­hi­cle parked in the drive­way of a home in the 1000 block of Wind­sor Av­enue, Dresher, be­tween 9:30 a.m. and 5:36 p.m. Oct. 20, po­lice said.

Charges pend­ing … Charges of driv­ing un­der the in­flu­ence are pend­ing against Brian Leibovitz, 39, of the 1500 block of But­ler Pike, Am­bler, fol­low­ing a hit and run ac­ci­dent around 11 p.m. Oct. 17 in the 1600 block of Twin­ing Road, po­lice said. The op­er­a­tor of a Honda Ac­cord told re­spond­ing of­fi­cers that he was driv­ing be­hind a sil­ver, two-door Chevy Ca­maro when the male op­er­a­tor put the left-turn sig­nal on, slammed on the brakes and went into re­verse, ac­cel­er­at­ing back­ward and crashed into the front of his ve­hi­cle, dis­abling it, po­lice said. The Ca­maro then turned and fled to­ward Susque­hanna Road, po­lice said.

Of­fi­cers lo­cated the strik­ing ve­hi­cle around 11:30 p.m. and Leibovitz, who failed a por­ta­ble breath test, was ar­rested and taken to Holy Redeemer Hos­pi­tal for a blood test, po­lice said, and charges are pend­ing the re­sults.

Theft … Sev­eral rid­ing toys were stolen from the back­yard of a home in the 600 block of Mead­ow­brook Av­enue, Am­bler, be­tween 7 p. m. Oct. 17 and 3 p. m. Oct. 18, po­lice said. Items taken in­cluded a red Ra­dio Flyer tri­cy­cle, a multi- color tri­cy­cle, an orange and red Fis­cher Price wagon and a dark blue, 18- speed Sch­winn moun­tain bike, val­ued at a to­tal of about $ 120, po­lice said.

Oro- choski, 18, of no known ad­dress, is be­ing cited for pub­lic drunk­en­ness and re­tail theft after he was caught with five boxes of Mucinex medicine, val­ued at $119.95, in his back­pack, which were taken from Gi­ant Food Store, 1760 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, Oct. 15, po­lice said. An of­fi­cer on pa­trol ob­served Oro­choski sit­ting on the curb in front of closed busi­nesses at 2:42 a.m. in the Shoppes at Blue Bell Shop­ping Cen­ter and in speak­ing with him noted he ap­peared to be highly in­tox­i­cated, po­lice said. He was be­lieved to have con­sumed sev­eral pack­ets of Mucinex and was trans­ported for a drug over­dose to Mercy Sub­ur­ban Hos­pi­tal, po­lice said.

Pub­lic drunk­en­ness … Michael E. Poloczuk, 50, of the 1600 block of Arch Street, Nor­ris­town, was cited for pub­lic drunk­en­ness and disor­derly con­duct Oct. 14 after of­fi­cers re­sponded to a call at 12: 20 p. m. of a ve­hi­cle be­ing op­er­ated reck­lessly in the lot at Gi­ant Food Store, 1760 DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell, po­lice said. Poloczuk, who was lo­cated parked along the front of the store, ap­peared con­fused and showed signs of im­pair­ment, po­lice said. After fail­ing field tests, it was de­ter­mined he was un­der the in­flu­ence of a con­trolled sub­stance and he was cited and also is­sued a traf­fic ci­ta­tion for driv­ing with a sus­pended li­cense, po­lice said, and re­leased to another adult.
