WAR­RANT >> Michael Giov­inazzo, 54, of the 1000 block of Southamp­ton Av­enue, Wyn­d­moor, was taken into cus­tody on a Philadel­phia war­rant dur­ing a car stop at 2:12 p.m. May 16 at Wil­low Grove and Chel­tenham av­enues, po­lice said. He was turned over to the 35th Dis­trict po­lice, po­lice said. THEFTS >> Items were taken from two un­locked ve­hi­cles in Wyn­d­moor overnight May 16, po­lice said. Change was taken from a ve­hi­cle in the 7900 block of Ard­more Av­enue, and a Sunoco credit card was taken from a ve­hi­cle in the 500 block of Wyn­d­moor Av­enue, po­lice said. FRAUD >> A Lave­rock woman re­ported May 17 re­ceiv­ing a call from an un­known male say­ing her grand­son was in cus­tody and he needed $8,200 for bail, po­lice said. The vic­tim said she didn’t have that much money and was told to wire a $2,800 Money­gram to a New Jersey ad­dress, which an­other mem­ber of the fam­ily did, po­lice said. The vic­tims then got in touch with the grand­son, who was not in jail and was fine, po­lice said. DIS­OR­DERLY CON­DUCT >> Srey­rina Rous, 20, of the 200 block of Lima Street, Philadel­phia, was cited for dis­or­derly con­duct af­ter she was found in pos­ses­sion of a small amount of mar­i­juana when a ve­hi­cle she was a pas­sen­ger in was stopped for an equipment vi­o­la­tion at 11:09 p.m. May 17 in the 8800 block of Sten­ton Av­enue, Wyn­d­moor, po­lice said. THEFT >> A pair of sun­glasses was stolen from a ve­hi­cle en­tered overnight May 17 while parked in the 500 block of Fil­bert Road, Ore­land, po­lice said. DRUG CHARGES >> Brian Genth, 22, of the 5200 block of North Front Street, Philadel­phia, was ar­rested at 5 p.m. May 18 at the 7-Eleven, 1003 Wil­low Grove Av­enue, Wyn­d­moor, dur­ing a drug buy fol­low­ing an in­ves­ti­ga­tion by de­tec­tives, po­lice said. Genth was charged with pos­ses­sion with in­tent to de­liver, deal­ing in pro­ceeds from an un­law­ful ac­tiv­ity, crim­i­nal use of a com­mu­ni­ca­tion fa­cil­ity, pos­ses­sion of a con­trolled sub­stance, pos­ses­sion of a small amount of mar­i­juana and pos­ses­sion of para­pher­na­lia, po­lice said. He was ar­raigned be­fore Dis­trict Judge Juanita Price and taken to Mont­gomery County Prison in lieu of $10,000 cash bail. A pre­lim­i­nary hear­ing was sched­uled for May 30. AUTO THEFT >> A 2005 red Mazda6 was stolen from the Citgo gas sta­tion, 101 Al­li­son Road, Ore­land, where it was wait­ing to be ser­viced, po­lice said. The ve­hi­cle was found May 19 at Sten­ton and Wyn­cote av­enues by Philadel­phia po­lice, po­lice said. MID­DLE SCHOOL >> A 14-yearold male student at Spring­field Mid­dle School was found with a small amount of mar­i­juana in his locker at 2:30 p.m. May 19, po­lice said. He was re­ferred to the Youth Aid Panel, po­lice said. PUB­LIC DRUNK­EN­NESS >> Robert Drelling, 34, of the 100 block of Ply­mouth Av­enue, Ore­land, was cited for pub­lic drunk­en­ness af­ter he was found stum­bling in the area of Church Road and Meadow Lane at 6:01 a.m. May 20, po­lice said. A por­ta­ble breath test showed a high BAC and he was eval­u­ated by am­bu­lance per­son­nel and then released to a sober per­son at his home, po­lice said, DUI >> Erich A. Schill, 21, of the 600 block of Ore­land Mill Road, Ore­land, was charged with driv­ing un­der the in­flu­ence of al­co­hol fol­low­ing a one-ve­hi­cle crash at 4:08 a.m. April 28 at North Fair­way and Tee roads, Glen­side, po­lice said. A res­i­dent of the 800 block of South Fair­way heard a crash and went out­side and saw a parked ve­hi­cle had been struck and a ve­hi­cle with heavy front end dam­age try­ing to leave the scene, po­lice said. Schill said his friend was driv­ing them home from a bar and made a wrong turn and then drifted into the parked ve­hi­cle and was in­jured, and he told him to get in the back seat, and he got into the driver’s seat and drove away from the crash, po­lice said. An of­fi­cer found the ve­hi­cle pulled over on the side of the road, po­lice said. Schill showed signs of in­tox­i­ca­tion and re­fused field test­ing and a blood test, po­lice said.
