the third-seeded Buck­eyes edged the No. 6 Horned Frogs 4-3 in the quar­ter­fi­nal last Satur­day at the Univer­sity of Ge­or­gia’s Dan Mag­ill Ten­nis Com­plex.

The win ex­tended Seelig’s un­beaten streak to 15 and gave the red­shirt fresh­man 30 sin­gles vic­to­ries this sea­son.

• East Strouds­burg women’s lacrosse Chessie Rah­mer (Sal­fordville/soud­er­ton Area) was named to the In­ter­col­le­giate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches As­so­ci­a­tion (IWLCA) Divi­sion II Al­lamer­ica third team.

Rah­mer, a ju­nior mid­fielder, led the War­riors in goals (50) and points (60) and was sec­ond on the team in caused turnovers (34), ground balls (55) and draw con­trols (55) as ESU earned its first-ever PSAC reg­u­larsea­son ti­tle, PSAC cham­pi­onship and NCAA Divi­sion II tour­na­ment ap­pear­ance.

• Mon­mouth’s Joe Mo­let­tiere (Sellersville/pen­nridge) pitched six score­less in­nings while Dan Long (Sellersville/pen­nridge) threw a per­fect sev­enth for his first col­le­giate save as the Hawks shut out Iona 2-0 in the first game of their dou­ble­header last Fri­day.
