Mor­ris “Marty” Griffith Reigart, Jr., 87, of Lafayette Hill, PA passed away peace­fully on June 7, 2017 at home sur­rounded by his lov­ing fam­ily. He was the beloved hus­band of the late Lenore Kelly Reigart who passed in Au­gust 2002. Marty was born on De­cem­ber 14, 1929 in Philadel­phia, raised in Baed­er­wood and a 1948 grad­u­ate from Abing­ton High School. He con­tin­ued on to Philadel­phia Col­lege of Tex­tiles & Sci­ence and was a mem­ber of Phi Psi fra­ter­nity where he grad­u­ated in 1952. Marty en­listed in the Army and took part in the Army Quar­ter Master Corps of Re­search & De­vel­op­ment branch which took him to Ari­zona, Canada and Panama for test­ing army equip­ment and ap­parel. He worked for Com­mer­cial Con­crete as a driver and then a sales­man. In 1968, Marty started his own con­tract­ing com­pany beau­ti­fy­ing res­i­den­tial homes all through­out Mont­gomery County. His busi­ness al­lowed him to be a men­tor and ed­u­ca­tor to his fam­ily and ex­tended fam­ily. Marty was an avid fan of the Phillies and Ea­gles, but loved watch­ing all sport­ing events. Most of all, he en­joyed spend­ing time with his fam­ily at the beach house he built in Avalon, NJ. Sur­vived by his sis­ter Jane Can­tera of Wilm­ing­ton, DE, his four chil­dren, Lisa Reigart of Lafayette Hill, Grif Reigart of Lafayette Hill, Linda Duk­ert of Glen­side, PA (Dave), and Eric (Karen) of Blue Bell, Pop-pop to 3 grand­chil­dren, Evan, Cole and Drew, and 15 nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by all. Rel­a­tives and friends are in­vited to a life celebra- tion at Lownes Fam­ily Fu­neral Home, 659 Ger­man­town Pike, Lafayette Hill on Thurs­day June 22, 2017. Visi­ta­tion will start at 10:00am and a memo­rial ser­vice will fol­low.
