he rain held up just long enough for the fifth through eighth graders of Holy Cross School to have their an­nual field day held to rec­og­nize and cel­e­brate the stu­dents’ hard work and ded­i­ca­tion at the end of the school year. Classes were bro­ken into groups as­signed with dif­fer­ent col­lege names and wear­ing co­or­di­nat­ing col­ors. They par­tic­i­pated in vol­ley­ball, hu­man tic-tac-toe, beach re­lay, dodge­ball, and steal the ba­con to name a few and of course a few fierce rounds of tug of war. Points were given to the teams af­ter each game. They were even treated to Kona Ice on the field. At the end of the day, win­ners were de­clared from each class. – Sub­mit­ted by Judy Wolfe
