Area child rapist gets 10 to 40 years
NORRISTOWN » Montgomery County Court Judge Gary S. Silow told Andrew Wolf he was lucky. If prosecutors and his defense attorney hadn’t worked out a sentencing agreement, he would have thrown the book at him for his crimes.
On Thursday, Silow sentenced Wolf, 30, of the 300 block of East Butler Avenue in Ambler, to 10 to 40 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to felony charges of rape of a child, statutory sexual assault and involuntary deviate sexual intercourse in connection with incidents that occurred between 2013 and 2015 when the girl was between 12 and 14 years old. Wolf was 28 and 29 at the time of the incidents.
“I would have sent you away for the rest of your life,” Silow said, calling Wolf’s actions shameful and pathetic. Wolf faced a maximum penalty of 30 to 60 years for his crimes.
Silow ordered Wolf to be listed as a sexually violent predator, which means in addition to registering with authorities as a sex offender under Megan’s Law, he will also undergo additional treatment and any community he chooses to live in will be notified by authorities of his sexually violent predator status. Wolf must never come in contact with his victim ever again and must also never be allowed to be in the presence of a minor again without another adult present. Wolf’s victim took the stand
