Charter chief executive 3rd best paid in 2019
Tom Rutledge’s $117 million in compensation last year leading Charter Communications made him the third most lavishly compensated CEO of a publicly traded company in the United States, according to a Bloomberg analysis, trailing only Tesla’s Elon Musk at $595 million and Apple’s Tim Cook at $133 million. Charter is the nation’s second largest cable broadband company after Comcast, with the company currently building a new headquarters office in Stamford and offering Xfinity service in portions of the Bridgeport, Danbury and New Haven areas.
