age 83, Burnsville, re­turned to his heav­enly home on Nov. 13, 2017 af­ter a valiant bat­tle with a long ill­ness. His de­vo­tion to his fam­ily and firm be­lief in God sup­ported him in his strug­gle and gave him peace. Duane served his coun­try in the US Army dur­ing Korea; In 1959 he proudly grad­u­ated from NDSU, Fargo. Duane re­tired af­ter 38 years as an elec­tri­cal en­gi­neer with Lock­heed Martin. He is pre­ceded in death by his mother, Ethel Koski and grand­daugh­ter, Salina. Duane is sur­vived by his lov­ing wife of 60 years, Jan; chil­dren, David (Kelly), Paula (Ron) Kelly, Steven (Cara) and Sara (Brett) Muehlhauser; 14 grand­chil­dren, 7 great grand­chil­dren, other fam­ily and many friends. Funeral ser­vice will be held 10 AM Fri­day Nov. 17, 2017 at the St. James Lutheran Church, 3650 Wil­liams Dr., Burnsville with a visi­ta­tion 1 hr. prior to ser­vice at church. In­ter­ment, Beth­le­hem Lutheran Church Ceme­tery, Aitkin, MN. In lieu of flow­ers memo­ri­als to, St. James Lutheran Church, Beth­le­hem Lutheran Church or Holden Vil­lage.
