A young group of

Chiefs will be welcom- ing in the

Volunteers on Friday night.

Magnolia Heights coach Cliff Young said several sophomores have been asked to fill roles on the team this season and are coming along.

“We have three sophomores starting on the offensive line and one at wide receiver,” Young said “At one point and time, we have five sophomores on offense, Each week they are getting better and more experienced. We feel like we’re getting better anyway.”

It has been an up and down season so far for the Chiefs.

In the first week, Magnolia Heights was shut out by Madison-Ridgeland Academy 49-0, but won the next two games over Lee Academy 33-8 and Strayhorn 6-0. 7 p.m., WLZA-FM 96.1
