QDMA hosts scoring session
The MSU Hail State Student Branch of the Quality Deer Management Association will be hosting a Magnolia Records Deer Scoring Session on Thursday from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Sports Center off Highway 12 in Starkville.
The Magnolia Records Program is the official recordkeeping program for white-tail deer in Mississippi. Only deer harvested in Mississippi are eligible for scoring and entry into the Magnolia Records book. If a deer meets the requirements for the record book, the hunter’s name, official score, county of harvest, and other necessary information will be entered into the records. There will be scorers for Boone & Crockett as well, so deer harvested outside of Mississippi may be scored.
This event is open to the public and there will be no charge to enter. It is sponsored by Sports Center, Magnolia Records, and the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks. For more information contact Darcey Collins at firstname.lastname@example.org.
