Cir­cus Sau­rus to stop in Starkville

The cir­cus is com­ing to town. Car­son & Barnes will present Cir­cus Sau­rus Mon­day at the Mis­sis­sippi Horse Park at 4:30 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m.

Cir­cus Sau­rus is based on di­nosaurs, with the big top trans­formed into a time ma­chine and var­i­ous di­nosaurs and other pre­his­toric crea­tures in­ter­act­ing with Car­son & Barnes' Asian ele­phants.

In ad­di­tion to the di­nosaurs, the cir­cus will in­clude trapeze artists, a wheel of des­tiny and the Coronel Sis­ters rolling globe act.

Tick­ets are on sale in ad­vance at La Ter­raza at $6 for chil­dren 12 and un­der and $12 for adults. Prices at the door will be $12 for chil­dren 12 and un­der and $18 for adults. A pet­ting zoo and ele­phant rides will be avail­able be­fore the show.

Car­son & Barnes was founded in Smith Cen­ter, Kansas in 1937.

The cir­cus goes next to Merid­ian at the Bonita Lakes Mall Tues­day. Show­times are the same.
