Circus Saurus to stop in Starkville

The circus is coming to town. Carson & Barnes will present Circus Saurus Monday at the Mississippi Horse Park at 4:30 p.m. and at 7:30 p.m.
Circus Saurus is based on dinosaurs, with the big top transformed into a time machine and various dinosaurs and other prehistoric creatures interacting with Carson & Barnes' Asian elephants.
In addition to the dinosaurs, the circus will include trapeze artists, a wheel of destiny and the Coronel Sisters rolling globe act.
Tickets are on sale in advance at La Terraza at $6 for children 12 and under and $12 for adults. Prices at the door will be $12 for children 12 and under and $18 for adults. A petting zoo and elephant rides will be available before the show.
Carson & Barnes was founded in Smith Center, Kansas in 1937.
The circus goes next to Meridian at the Bonita Lakes Mall Tuesday. Showtimes are the same.
An Asian elephant is ridden in the Carson & Barnes Circus. The circus will present its Circus Saurus show in Starkville Monday evening.
