not able to make con­tact with Davidson upon ar­rival.

Deputies left the scene and a short time after leav­ing, a caller told the deputies they heard what sounded like a cou­ple of gun shots.

"There were mul­ti­ple shots be­ing fired in­side of Davidson's res­i­dence," Wat­son said.

Deputies en­coun­tered Davidson in the door­way of the res­i­dence.

"At that point (Davidson) fired two shots in the direc­tion of the deputy," Wat­son said.

The deputy in­volved was not in­jured and the rounds fired dam­aged a nearby

apart­ment. Wat­son said at some point dur­ing the en­counter, Davidson ran out of am­mu­ni­tion and started to flee on foot into an­other per­son's apart­ment, where he was run out by the home­owner.

"(He) fled on foot from the deputies un­til they were able to take cus­tody of him be­hind the apart­ments," Wat­son said.

Davidson is cur­rently in the Ok­tibbeha County Jail with bond set at $865,000.
