not able to make contact with Davidson upon arrival.
Deputies left the scene and a short time after leaving, a caller told the deputies they heard what sounded like a couple of gun shots.
"There were multiple shots being fired inside of Davidson's residence," Watson said.
Deputies encountered Davidson in the doorway of the residence.
"At that point (Davidson) fired two shots in the direction of the deputy," Watson said.
The deputy involved was not injured and the rounds fired damaged a nearby
apartment. Watson said at some point during the encounter, Davidson ran out of ammunition and started to flee on foot into another person's apartment, where he was run out by the homeowner.
"(He) fled on foot from the deputies until they were able to take custody of him behind the apartments," Watson said.
Davidson is currently in the Oktibbeha County Jail with bond set at $865,000.
