MSU's Ora­dini wins in ten­nis

PENSACOLA, Fla. – An­other day, an­other straight-set tri­umph for Mis­sis­sippi State's Gio­vanni Ora­dini on Sun­day at the 2017 Pensacola Fu­tures, a USTA event.

The sopho­more stand­out earned a spot in the fi­nal round of qual­i­fy­ing ac­tion by cruis­ing to a solid 6-2, 6-2 vic­tory against Sid Donarski of Canada. Ora­dini will face the win­ner of Chase Wood and Row­land Phillips (ATP 1476) at 10 a.m. to­day. Should Ora­dini win to­day, he'll join State's third-seeded Nuno Borges in the sin­gles main draw which be­gins Tues­day.

MSU's fresh­man Flo­rian Broska's run in qual­i­fy­ing ended Sun­day as the fresh­man dropped a hard-fought 6-4, 6-4 de­ci­sion to Spain na­tive and South Florida stand­out Al­berto Bar­rosoCam­pos (ATP 1290).
