SA girls pick up home victory

The Starkville Academy Lady Volunteers jumped out to a 16-11 lead after the first quarter and didn’t look back in recording a 48-35 home victory over Columbus Christian Monday night.

Mary Peyton Passons led the Lady Vols with 16 points and nine rebounds. Milla Davis was next in the scoring column with nine points and she pulled down eight boards as did Aubrey Campbell.

Starkville Academy out-rebounded the visitors from Columbus 41-22.

The Lady Vols (2-3) are scheduled to be back in action at home against Indianola Academy tonight.
