SHS sum­mer base­ball camp nears

The Starkville High School sum­mer base­ball camp will take place June 11-13.

The camp will run from 8:30 a.m. un­til noon each day for ages K-sixth grade.

In­struc­tion will be led by the SHS coach­ing staff and the Yel­low­jacket base­ball team. Cam­pers will be taught the fun­da­men­tals of base­ball with base run­ning, hit­ting, field­ing, throw­ing, and pitch­ing. Camp com­pe­ti­tions and games will also be held daily.

The cost of the camp will be $75 per child. This fee in­cludes drinks, snacks, and a camp t-shirt. Checks should be made out to Starkville High School Base­ball Boost­ers. We will hold walk-up reg­is­tra­tion the first day of camp, June 11, from 7:30 a.m.–8:30 a.m. Reg­is­tra­tion will be at the main en­trance of Yel­low­jacket Field.

Items to bring will be glove, bat, bat­ting gloves, and any­thing your child would nor­mally take to a game or prac­tice. Please la­bel any­thing that your child brings to camp.
