Leevester Ellis, 48, was arrested on Creekline Road for a charge of residential burglary on the afternoon of July 11.

Ellis' arrest comes days after a separate burglary on June 29. In June, Ellis' bond was set to $5,000 and he was released on bond on the same day.

Oktibbeha County Circuit Court records show Ellis was also charged with residential burglary in February 1998.

Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Office Investigator Lt. Brett Watson said a Starkville resident notified authorities that an intruder was in the resident's home on July 11. When the authorities arrived, they found Ellis in the home.

Ellis' initial appearance was on July 13, and Judge Charles “Marty” Haug set his bond at $150,000. Ellis is currently being held in the Oktibbeha County Jail.
