Hours and few deals for hol­i­day gam­bling

With the two big hol­i­days com­ing up, some of the lo­cal gam­bling fa­cil­i­ties have changed their sched­ules while oth­ers are open reg­u­lar hours. Re­gard­less, there won’t be too many pro­mo­tions over the next couple of weeks.

On Christ­mas Day—Fri­day, Dec. 25— Palm Beach Ken­nel Club

(1111 N. Congress Ave., West Palm Beach, 561-683-2222, PBKen­nelClub.com) will not have live rac­ing or simul­cast­ing, but the poker room will open at 6 p.m.

Both Semi­nole Hard Rock Ho­tel & Casino (1 Semi­nole Way, Hol­ly­wood, 800-937-0010, Semi­nole­HardRock­Hol­ly­wood.com) and Semi­nole Clas­sic Casino (4150 N. State Road 7, Hol­ly­wood, 954-961-3220, Semi­noleClas­sicCasino.com) will op­er­ate nor­mally, mean­ing around-the-clock. Nei­ther will have any gam­ing spe­cials.

The same goes with Semi­nole Casino Co­conut Creek (5550 N.W. 40th St. Co­conut Creek, 954-977-6700, Casi­noCoco.com). It will, how­ever, have live en­ter­tain­ment, in­clud­ing three bands play­ing in the restau­rants.

Gulfstream Park Rac­ing and Casino (901 S. Fed­eral High­way, Hallandale Beach, Gulf­streamPark.com) won’t have live rac­ing on Christ­mas Day, but you can stop by for casino bet­ting from 9 a.m. to mid­night for its pro­mo­tion “Ex­tra Ex­tra Free Play,” with draw­ings be­ing held from 1 p.m. to mid­night.

Isle Casino Rac­ing (777 Isle of Capri Cir­cle, Pom­pano Beach, 954-972-2000, TheIslePom­panoPark.com) will have a pro­mo­tion called “Late Night 8X’s Points” from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. Fan Club mem­bers re­ceive eight times the re­deemable points.

Mardi Gras Casino (831 N. Fed­eral High­way, Hallandale Beach, 954-924-3200, MardiGrasCasi­noFL.com) will be open for gam­bling for 24 hours on Dec. 25. From noon to 8 p.m., for $30, visi­tors can eat at the buf­fet in the French Quar­ter Restau­rant.

Casino Miami (3500 N.W. 37th Ave., Miami, 305-633-6400, Casi­no­Mi­ami­Ja­iAlai.com) will keep its doors open through­out the day with its reg­u­lar Fri­day pro­mo­tion fea­tur­ing “$100K Hol­i­day Cash,” in­clud­ing one win­ner of $2,500 in cash and other win­ners of free play.

Calder Casino (21001 N.W. 27th Ave., Miami Gar­dens, 305-625-1311, CalderCasino.com) will open at 9 a.m., and then be open for 24 hours through­out the rest of the week­end. On Christ­mas Day, the casino will run its Christ­mas Bingo Blitz pro­mo­tion. In ad­di­tion to the reg­u­lar prize pool of up to $8,000 in free play, it’ll hold draw­ings for pop­u­lar elec­tron­ics like tablets, LED TVs, sound bars and head­phones. Bingo ses­sions will be held at 7 p.m., 9 p.m. and 11 p.m.

If you’re not too tired from all the par­ty­ing, then try your luck at one of South Florida’s bet­ting sites on New Year’s Day. But like with Christ­mas Day, there won’t be a lot of pro­mo­tions.

Mardi Gras Casino (831 N. Fed­eral High­way, Hallandale Beach, 954-924-3200, MardiGrasCasi­noFL.com), which will be open for 24 hours, will have 50 $100 cash draw­ings from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. And for han­gover cures: $5 bloody marys, bloody Cae­sars and mi­mosas.

Semi­nole Hard Rock Ho­tel & Casino (1 Semi­nole Way, Hol­ly­wood, 800-937-0010, Semi­nole­HardRock­Hol­ly­wood.com) and Semi­nole Clas­sic Casino (4150 N. State Road 7, Hol­ly­wood, 954-961-3220, Semi­noleClas­sicCasino.com) don’t have any­thing spe­cial planned for Jan. 1.

Semi­nole Casino Co­conut Creek (5550 N.W. 40th St. Co­conut Creek, 954-977-6700, Casi­noCoco.com) will have a “$50,000 Give­away” of cash and free play from noon to 8 p.m. Visi­tors can insert their Wild Card into slot ma­chines that day for one free en­try, and they re­ceive one more en­try for ev­ery comp dol­lar earned.

Palm Beach Ken­nel Club (1111 N. Congress Ave., West Palm Beach, 561-683-2222, PBKen­nelClub.com) will be open as usual.

Jan. 1 will be the end of “Bingo Blitz” at Calder Casino (21001 N.W. 27th Ave., Miami Gar­dens, 305-625-1311, CalderCasino.com), which has a must-pay jack­pot (as of Dec. 21) of $1,700.
