Casino deals for Mother’s Day

OK, moms, get ready to cel­e­brate your day at lo­cal casi­nos.

On Sun­day, Calder Casino (21001 NW 27th Ave., Mi­ami Gar­dens, 305-625-1311, CalderCasino.com) will of­fer a Mother’s Day buf­fet from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The cost, $29.99, in­cludes an omelet sta­tion, a cold seafood bar, beef ten­der­loin and pasta. Plus un­lim­ited mi­mosas and Bloody Marys. Reser­va­tions are ac­cepted for par­ties of at least six.

The Casino at Da­nia Beach (301E. Da­nia Beach Blvd., 954-920-1511, Casi­noDa­ni­aBeach.com) will serve a clas­sic brunch for $25, which in­cludes three mi­mosas. The first 200 moms re­ceive free flow­ers.

Hialeah Park Rac­ing and Casino (100 E. 32nd St., 305-885-8000, HialeahPark.com) is pre­sent­ing a Mother’s Day buf­fet ($13.95 for adults; $8.95 for kids) in the Ha­vana Cafe and on the Foun­tain Ter­race. Each mom gets a com­pli­men­tary Bloody Mary or mi­mosa, and all wom­enget flow­ers. Kids are wel­come on the Foun­tain Ter­race.

The first 300 women to visit Palm Beach Ken­nel Club (1111 N. Congress Ave., West Palm Beach, 561-683-2222, PBKen­nelClub.com), start­ing at 11:30 a.m., will re­ceive Hoff­man’s choco­late-cov­ered Oreos. Moms or­der­ing an en­tree at Pad­dock Restaurant will get a free slice of choco­late cake.

All four eater­ies at Semi­nole Casino Co­conut Creek (5550 NW 40th St., Co­conut Creek, 954-977-6700, Casi­noCoco.com) will honor moms on Sun­day. The up­scale NYY Steak will serve an $85 brunch from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. It in­cludes a seafood sta­tion, pan­cake sta­tion, eggs sta­tion and sta­tion for crepes, ba­nanas Foster and other desserts. And there will be mi­mosas and Bloody Marys.

Many of the restau­rants at Semi­nole Hard Rock Ho­tel and Casino (1 Semi­nole Way, Hol­ly­wood, 800-937-0010, Semi­noleHardRock­Hol­ly­wood.com) will have food spe­cials on Sun­day. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., for $89 ($45 for kids un­der 13), Kuro will serve a brunch that in­cludes a raw bar and un­lim­ited Veuve Clic­quot cham­pagne.

Odds and ends

The grand open­ing for the Back­yard Casino, an out­door ex­ten­sion with about 75 games and smok­ing at Calder Casino, will take place May19. I’ll share more de­tails next week.

The Rain­bow 6 jack­pot at Gulf­stream Park Rac­ing and Casino (901 S. Fed­eral High­way, Hal­lan­dale Beach, 954-454-7000, Gulf­streamPark.com) reached $1,006,359 for Thurs­day’s 10-race pro­gram. The pick-6 bet costs 20 cents.

Laugh in

Lo­cal casi­nos are book­ing more big-name co­me­di­ans. Just an­nounced was Bob Saget’s June 23 standup rou­tine at Semi­nole Casino Co­conut Creek. Tick­ets cost from $30 to $200.

Amy Schumer will tell jokes on Aug. 31 at Semi­nole Hard Rock Ho­tel and Casino. Tick­ets, sched­uled to go on sale at 10 a.m. to­day, start at $72 and go to $182.

But first up will be Marvin Dixon per­form­ing and em­cee­ing his “50 Shades of Com­edy: The Spring Edi­tion” show on May 19, at the Casino at Da­nia Beach. Also on stage will be co­me­di­ans Jer­sey “The Haitian Sen­sa­tion,” Shanie D and Kevin “Damn Fool” Simp­son. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tick­ets from $20 to $50 are still avail­able.
