This per­for­mance is the cul­mi­na­tion of a two-year col­lab­o­ra­tion be­tween the Mex­ico City Bal­let (Com­pañia de Danza Clásica Quin­tana Roo) and Dance Now! Miami. The piece ad­dresses the hot-but­ton is­sue of im­mi­gra­tion. There will be a world premiere of “Puentes No Muros” from the Mex­i­can troupe and an up­dat­ing of the “Bridges Not Walls” seg­ment from the Miami com­pany. Jas­many Hernán­dez, di­rec­tor of the Mex­ico City Bal­let, says in a press re­lease, “Cre­at­ing a ‘tran­sit of artistry’ be­tween our two coun­tries, that to­day seem di­vided by real and po­lit­i­cal walls, is the most ex­cit­ing thing about this project.” When: 8:30 p.m. Satur­day Where: The Colony The­atre, 1040 Lin­coln Road, Miami Beach
