Hooters of Boca Raton will host its third annual Pooches on the Patio happy hour 5:30-7:30 tonight, a benefit for the Tri-County Animal Rescue’s emergency medical fund. The South Florida nonprofit Little Paws of Love will benefit from proceeds at PuppyPalooza, a fundraiser and adoption event beginning noon Saturday at the Frog Lounge in Delray Beach. A $10 donation gets you a drink and a raffle ticket.
The pet-friendly Summer Dog Daze Barbecue Series returns to J. Wakefield Brewing in Miami 2-7 p.m. Saturday, with beer specials, contests, giveaways, El Jefe and Pop Starz food trucks, popsicles from Serendipity Creamery, music from DJ Jay and dog-friendly splash pools. On July 29, J. Wakefield will host a pet photo shoot fundraiser for the Humane Society of Greater Miami.
On Sunday, the bustling 500 block of Clematis in downtown West Palm Beach will be the setting for Bark + Brunch, an adoption event for Blessed Paws Animal Rescue in Lake Worth. Dog-friendly dining venues such as Kapow! Hullabaloo, O’Shea’s Irish Pub, Lost Weekend and Subculture Coffee will offer brunch beginning at 11 a.m., and the block will then be filled with vendors, pools, dog treats, music by the Blues Crusaders and the Charity Bikini Dog Wash.
