Comic-actress Tiffany Haddish, currently the queen of the box office in the Kevin Hart hit “Night School,” plans to spend New Year’s Eve in Miami with a performance at the James L. Knight Center.
Reserved-seat tickets for the 9 p.m. Dec 31 show, which is part of her #sheready Tour, go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 5, at all Ticketmaster outlets including Ticketmaster.com and by calling 800-745-3000. A series of presales begin at 10 a.m. Thursday. Visit Ticketmaster.com.
Tickets for the AEG Presents show will cost $49.50, $65, $85, $149.50 and $250 (plus fees).
After opening on Friday, “Night School” finished No. 1 at the box office, taking in more than $28 million nationwide and finishing ahead of the weekend’s other new film, “Smallfoot” ($23 million).
But her co-starring role with Hart is just icing on the rich, multilayered cake that has been 2018 for Haddish.
Best known for her breakout role in the hit comedy “Girls Trip” and appearances opposite Tracy Morgan on the TBS comedy series “The Last O.G.,” Haddish recently won her first Emmy Award for hosting “Saturday Night Live” and has two feature films debuting before the end of the year: “The Oath” (in theaters Oct. 12) and “Nobody’s Fool” (Nov. 2).
Other projects in the pipeline include voice work on “The Lego Movie 2,” “The Secret Life of Pets 2” and the upcoming animated series “Tuca & Bertie” on Netflix, where she also is working on a one-hour standup special. Haddish also has a twoyear deal with HBO for projects with her She Ready production company.
